Deranged is undoubtely one of the very few (if not the only) swedish death metal band that came out during the late 80´es / early 90´es that have always done their own unique brand of truly intense and no remorse showing brutal death metal. Deranged are known to blatantly ignore current metal trends, they have always delievered death metal the way it was meant to be. No gimmicks, no stage show, no make up and most importantly no bullshit. Just straight up intense death fuckin´ metal.

With 10 full length albums under their belt and more worldwide live shows than one can count Deranged are currently sharpening their knives for the recording of their eleventh full length album to be recorded later this year (2019) and released early 2020 on Agonia Productions. Extensive promotion work and worldwide touring to be expected.

*2019; live shows and working hard on the new album (title and release date to be announced). Deranged has always been an furious live act and they make sure to prove it every time.

*2018; kept spreading the madness on various stages all around Europe. Proving to the audience they are a mad and furious live act you´ll never forget.

*2017; several gigs throughout Europe: Spain, Portugal, UK, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany etc…

*2016 sees Deranged’s first show on US soil at Maryland Deathfest. Subsequently they sign with Agonia Productions and release the full-length monster “Struck By A Murderous Siege”. Singer at the time leaves as Deranged strikes Indonesia again for two gigs, later replaced by Johan Bergström.

*In May 2013 the new EP “Morgue Orgy” is released on CD by Sevared Records with five tracks showcasing the heaviest Deranged material so far.

*2012 sees the first shows in Deranged’s home town since 2007, where the new vocalist Anders Johansson makes his debut. The slaughter continues as new material is being composed, heavier and bloodier than ever before…

*In August 2011, Martin Schönherr departs, leaving Thomas Ahlgren to handle the vocals for a second Russian tour and the Rock In Solo festival in Indonesia, where Deranged grinds down a few thousands of Javanese youngsters together with Death Angel and Kataklysm.

*The dead will never rest, they always come back – in the summer of 2009, the band is resurrected, with Wermén and Schönherr back where they were before. Thomas Ahlgren picks up the guitar after Axelsson, with Andreas Johansson filling the bassist slot. After some festival gigs across Europe and a short Russian tour, the band returned to Berno Studio in February 2011, to record the “come-back” album “Cut Carve Rip Serve”, released on the US label Sevared Records.

*2007; singer / bass player at the time is given the grand good ol´ boot and sees the trio become a four-piece, when Thomas Ahlgren picks up the bass and Martin Schönherr starts to scream. This line-up records “The Redlight Murder Case”, with every song-title taken from classic Giallo flicks. Just after the release, back on Regain this time, both original members Rikard Wermén and Johan Axelsson leave, killing off the band.

*In 2006, the seventh full length “Obscenities in B-Flat” album is released.

*2002; Deranged’s most extreme album so far, ”Plainfield Cemetary”, is unleashed, followed by among others a massive euro-tour with Vader and Arkhon Infaustus, and UK dates with Kreator.

*In 2000, Deranged signed with French label Listenable. The third album, simply titled III, and the fourth self-titled, was released, alongside a split 10” with US legends Abscess. The band also visits Japan, first time outside Europe.

*1998; High on Blood was released on Regain Records. Tours with Dying Fetus, Defaced Creation, Vomitory and Aborted, among others.

*1995-96 saw the first Deranged shows outside of Sweden, with gigs in Germany, Poland, Italy, Denmark etc. The band has kept touring Europe ever since, and has to this date probably played ten times more in Germany than in Sweden. The video for “Killing Spree” from the “Rated-X” debut album gets played on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball numerous times.

*1993-94, the band released their first label-supported material, being the first and second 7″ single, (“…the Confessions Continues” and “Upon the Medical Slab”), Quickly followed by two mini CDs, (“Architects of Perversions” and “Sculpture of the Dead”). The cover and the lyrics of “…the Confessions Continues” was considered extreme enough to be banned in Germany.

*1992; recorded and released their one and only offical demo tape “The Confessions of a Necrophile”.

*1991; Deranged was formed by a couple of bored, splatter crazed and rather insane death metal freak-teens in the southern parts of Sweden. Inspired by the bloodiest and most violent bands of the time, like early Carcass, Napalm Death, Impetigo, Suffocation etc. and obviously even bloodier horror and splatter films, they started to grind.
